The Quarantined Life: Hoarders and Personal Space Issues
Recovering from Christmas
Christmas has come and gone. You might be recovering from the trips to the mall, cookie trays, and being gifted with an UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER. How did you survive? Gifts are given. Travel on congested roadways has been logged. And the Christmas songs are off the radio. Have you recovered from Christmas yet?
I am not saying to be a Grinch. However, I do think we need to thank God for Christmas and then look forward to the next year (2014). There is much beauty and anticipation to Christmas and rightfully so. Christians celebrate the birth of Christ. Many people bless others with gifts. Families are together whom might not see each other much during the rest of the year.
There is something VITAL to our lives in LOOKING FORWARD.I am not talking about resolutions. They never last. There is a reason gym memberships are so cheap right after Christmas. People give up. Same with diets. Diets have a timeline. You arrive at a destination and then THAT IS IT! FINISHED! AGAIN--there is something VITAL to your lives in LOOKING AND MOVING FORWARD.
God has bigger plans for us than being stuck where we are. He wants us to grow in all areas of our lives. Why live in the past when God can help us MOVE FORWARD?
As Christmas has passed, ask yourself the following questions:
1. Where did you experience blessings and life in the Season of Christmas?
2. Where did you experience disappointment or drain (fatigue) in the Season of Christmas?
3. What do YOU need God's help in changing in 2014?
Stay tuned, friends. My next blog will focus on your THEME for 2014.
