Easter Sunday is tomorrow. Yes, it really is this late in April this year.....
Expectations are high this week:--Children are expecting candy. And more candy. And Easter baskets of some sort.--Churches will expect above average attendance for Easter activities.--People will get frustrated about Easter dinner.Things will go wrong, friends. You will forget something in your kid's Easter basket. Churches won't have enough parking spots. Someone will get something wrong for dinner.
Expectations. We all have them. But are they realistic? Do our expectations hold us back from really experiencing Easter?
Your Easter dress is wrinkled and you just secure a seat at church.....Jesus is still risen despite your wardrobe issues.Your Church did something "different" on Easter Sunday. Get over it.
Easter isn't about you. It's about Jesus.
